My dog and I have the same taste in books.
We both also have a knack for coming up with clever ideas. Throughout my career, I’ve helped companies large and small successfully transform their digital customer experiences. I gravitate toward projects that build strong connections with audiences and create positive change for people.
The ‘live audience factor’ in performing arts and music production has always fascinated me. What is happening behind the scenes to curate a fantastic experience for everyone in the audience? What can the crew control and what can’t they? Early on, I tinkered with lighting & sound design for local theater gigs. After moving to NYC 16 years ago, I channeled this curiosity into my first internship at indie record label Glassnote Records. So began my path using design to improve experiences with entertainment, e-commerce, hospitality and finance brands. Nowadays, I am Principal Designer at New York Public Radio. I lead UX initiatives that connect people with the very best of public news and music on WNYC, Gothamist, and WQXR. 🎙🎵
Strong visual communication is at the center of my design approach. I earned my BFA in Graphic Design at Pratt Institute. A lifelong learner, I studied Behavioral Design at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and Creative Strategy at IDEO U. I am currently working toward my NN/g UX certification with a focus on research and management.
When I'm not designing stuff, you can find me gardening, painting, throwing pottery, or planning backpacking adventures with my husband and our dog, Sobo.
